Our Vision

As a congregation, we are committed to:

Worship as a dynamic expression of the presence of God through Word, Sacrament, music and Christian community;

Welcome as an invitation to everyone to meet Jesus Christ, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey;

Empowerment as enabling individuals, couples, and families to discover the power of the Holy Spirit through faith made active in real life;

Growth as the opportunity to increase each person's confidence and joy in Jesus Christ through prayer, Bible study, Sunday School, small groups, and other learning ministries;

Service as the means by which we minister to people's needs in our church, our community, and our world.

History

Bethlehem Lutheran Church was originally named "Den Norske Evangeliske Luterske Menighed av Flathead."  The original building was located at 5th Avenue West and 4th Street on the "outskirts of town."  In 1932, during the Depression, the cornerstone was laid for a new building on Main Street.  This building, our current home, was dedicated in 1937.  Over the years other buildings, property and renovations have been added to expand Bethlehem's ministry.
